Z-scan
Z-scani tehnika on eksperimentaalne meetod materjalide mittelineaarsete optiliste omaduste, eriti kolmanda järguзывать ja mittelineaarse neeldumise mõõtmiseks. Sheik-Bahae, Hagan ja Van Strylandi poolt 1990. aastal välja töötatud Z-scan kasutab tihedalt fokuseeritud laserkiirt ja liigutab proovi mööda kiire levikku (z-telge), salvestades transmisiooni muutusi, et suure tundlikkusega määrata mittelineaarse murdumise ja neeldumise koefitsiendid.
