Watershed Segmentation

Watershed segmentation on morfoloogiline pilditöötlustehnika, mis segmenteerib automaatselt pildi erinevateks piirkondadeks, käsitledes pildi intensiivsust topograafilise maastikuna, kus iga objekt vastab orule. Beucheri ja Lantuéjouli poolt 1979. aastal tutvustatud ja Meyeri poolt täiustatud watershed-algoritm on eriti tõhus kokku puutuvate või kattuvate objektide eraldamiseks.
