| Zusammenfassung≠ | Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is a systematic process for identifying the environmental and behavioral factors that maintain or contribute to a target behavior. Developed by Richard O'Neill, Robert Horner, and colleagues in the 1990s, FBA is a cornerstone of applied behavior analysis and is widely used in educational, clinical, and organizational settings to guide evidence-based behavior intervention planning. | Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a behavioral intervention designed to reduce anxiety and compulsive behaviors by having clients repeatedly confront feared situations or intrusive thoughts without engaging in safety behaviors or compulsions. Developed by Edna B. Foa and colleagues in the 1980s, ERP is now considered the gold-standard treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and is also highly effective for anxiety disorders, PTSD, and specific phobias. |
