Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)

OSPF er en link-state interior gateway-protokol (IGP) til routing inden for et autonomt system. OSPF blev introduceret af John Moy i 1998 og konvergerer hurtigere end distance-vector-protokoller og understøtter equal-cost multipath (ECMP). Den er fortsat bredt implementeret i virksomheds- og ISP-netværk til intra-domæne routing, selvom IS-IS i stigende grad foretrækkes i store backbone-netværk.
