Ortogonal FrekvensdelingsMultiplex (OFDM)

OFDM er en multikanalbærebølge-moduleringsteknik, der opdeler en bredbånds-kanal i mange smalbånds ortogonale subbærere. Introduceret af Weinstein og Ebert i 1971, udnytter den dualiteten mellem tids- og frekvensdomænerne til effektivt at udnytte spektret, samtidig med at intersymbolinterferens i frekvensselektive kanaler minimeres. OFDM er nu standarden for højhastigheds trådløse systemer, herunder WiFi, cellulær LTE og digital udsendelse.
