Point-Biserial Korrelation

Point-biserial korrelationskoefficienten (r_pb) måler styrken og retningen af den lineære sammenhæng mellem én naturligt dikotom variabel (kodet 0/1) og én kontinuert variabel. Det er et specialtilfælde af Pearsons produkt-moment korrelation, formelt udledt af Tate (1954) i Annals of Mathematical Statistics, og er det standardindeks, der anvendes i psykometrisk itemanalyse, validitetsstudier og enhver forskningskontekst, hvor en binær gruppevariabel er relateret til et kontinuert udfald.
