Partiel korrelation

Partiel korrelation måler den lineære sammenhæng mellem to kontinuerte variabler efter at have fjernet den fælles indflydelse fra en eller flere kontrolvariabler. Teknikken blev formaliseret af R. A. Fisher i 1924 og er standardtilgangen, når en forsker mistænker, at en tredje variabel oppuster eller undertrykker den observerede sammenhæng mellem to variabler af interesse.
