Agentbaseret Tabu-Søgning (ABTS) indlejrer tabu-søgningsmetaheuristikken i et multi-agent-rammeværk, hvor autonome agenter hver især kører uafhængige eller samarbejdende tabu-søgningsprocesser, deler lovende løsninger for at undslippe lokale optima og kollektivt udforsker store kombinatoriske eller kontinuerlige søgerum mere effektivt end en enkelttrådet implementering.
