Chebyshev Filter Design

Chebyshev-filtret er et signalbehandlingsfilter, der opnår en skarpere afskæringsfrekvensrespons end Butterworth-filtre ved at tillade kontrolleret krusning (ripple) i passbåndet (Type I) eller stopbåndet (Type II). Udviklet af Wilhelm Cauer og baseret på Chebyshev-polynomier, anvendes disse filtre bredt, når en stejl overgang er nødvendig med acceptabel amplitudevariation.
