Longitudinal indholdsvaliditet evaluerer, hvorvidt et målingsitems dækker det tilsigtede indholdsdomæne tilstrækkeligt og konsistent, ikke kun på et enkelt tidspunkt, men på tværs af gentagne administrationer. Den sikrer, at den konceptuelle dækning af en skala forbliver passende og stabil, efterhånden som målingstidspunkter akkumuleres over en studieperiode.
