Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA)

Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) er en sværm-baseret metaheuristik introduceret af Mirjalili og Lewis i 2016. Den modellerer pukkelhvalers boblenet-jagtstrategi, hvor en gruppe hvaler spiralerer omkring bytte, mens de gradvist strammer indkredsningen. Algoritmen balancerer global udforskning og lokal udnyttelse gennem et lille sæt parametre og er blevet udbredt anvendt til kontinuerlige ingeniørmæssige optimeringsproblemer.
