NODDI

Neurite Orientation Dispersion and Density Imaging (NODDI) er en biofysisk diffusions-MRI-model, der kvantificerer mikrostrukturelle egenskaber af hvid substans: neurittæthed (aksial tæthed), orienteringsdispersion (fiberkohærens) og isotrop diffusion (frit vand eller cerebrospinalvæske). NODDI, introduceret af Zhang og kolleger i 2012, leverer biologisk fortolkelige metrikker, der direkte forbinder diffusions-MRI-signaler med vævsmikrostruktur.
