Normaliseringsprocessteori (NPT)

Normaliseringsprocessteori (NPT) er et sociologisk rammeværk udviklet af Carl May og kolleger for at forklare, hvordan nye interventioner rutinemæssigt indlejres ('normaliseres') i organisatorisk og klinisk praksis. I modsætning til effektivitetsfokuserede rammeværk, der måler adoption og fidelitet, forklarer NPT de sociale processer, hvorigennem interventioner overgår fra eksterne innovationer til normal praksis. NPT identificerer fire centrale mekanismer (Coherence, Cognitive Participation, Collective Action, Reflexive Monitoring), der kollektivt bestemmer, om en intervention bliver 'måden vi gør tingene på her' eller forbliver et midlertidigt projekt.
