ORB Feature Descriptor

ORB (Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF) kombinerer FAST-hjørnedetektoren med den binære BRIEF-deskriptor for at skabe en hurtig, rotationsinvariant feature-detektor og -deskriptor. ORB blev introduceret af Rublee et al. i 2011 og er designet som et gratis, effektivt alternativ til patenterede metoder som SIFT og SURF, hvilket gør den ideel til realtidsapplikationer og applikationer med begrænsede ressourcer.
