Blobdetektion

Blobdetektion er en teknik til at identificere interesseområder (blobs)—sammenhængende, homogene områder, der adskiller sig fra deres omgivelser—på flere skalaer. Introduceret af Lindeberg i forbindelse med skalrumsteori, finder og karakteriserer blobdetektion automatisk cirkulære eller elliptiske objekter uden behov for forudgående kendskab til deres størrelse.
