ResuméThe one-sample t-test is a parametric hypothesis test that determines whether the mean of a single sample differs significantly from a known or hypothesized population value. Derived from Student's (Gosset's) 1908 t-distribution, it assumes continuous, approximately normally distributed data and is one of the most fundamental tests in applied statistics.One-way ANOVA is a parametric hypothesis test that compares the means of three or more independent groups on a single continuous outcome to decide whether at least one group mean differs. It rests on the variance-partitioning framework introduced by Ronald A. Fisher in 1925.
