Finitestripmetoden

Finitestripmetoden (FSM) er en semi-analytisk numerisk tilgang til analyse af prismatiske eller cylindriske strukturer ved at opdele dem i "strips" i én retning og anvende analytiske eller eksakte løsninger i den vinkelrette retning. FSM blev udviklet af Cheung i 1976 og reducerer beregningsomkostningerne og giver ofte overlegen nøjagtighed for strukturer med regelmæssig geometri langs én akse.
