Panel data marginal structural model (MSM)
En panel data marginal structural model (MSM) anvender inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW) på tværs af flere tidsperioder til at estimere den kausale effekt af en tidsvarierende behandling, samtidig med at der passende justeres for tidsvarierende konfoundere, som selv er påvirket af tidligere behandling — en fejlkilde, som konventionel regression ikke kan håndtere.
