Reaktiv destillation

Reaktiv destillation kobler reaktion og separation i en enkelt kolonne, hvor reaktanter separeres fra produkter kontinuerligt, mens de samtidigt undergår reaktion på katalytiske bakker. Denne procesintensiveringsteknik, pioneret i 1990'erne af Klaus Sundmacher og andre, reducerer dramatisk anlægsomkostninger, energiforbrug og miljøpåvirkning for egnede reaktioner. Den er nu industrielt bevist for esterificerings-, hydrerings- og transesterificeringsprocesser.
