TERCOM

Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) er en terrænbaseret navigationsmetode, der korrigerer positionsestimater ved at matche altimetermålinger mod et lagret digitalt højdekort (DEM). TERCOM, udviklet af Boeing i 1980'erne til styring af krydsermissiler, muliggør præcis navigation i GPS-benægtede miljøer ved at udnytte den unikke terrænsignatur på hver lokation. TERCOM er fortsat essentiel for missilstyring, autonome undervandsfartøjer og systemer, der opererer i jamming-scenarier.
