Rumimpulsrespons

Rumimpulsresponsen (RIR) er et mål for, hvordan et fysisk rum (et rum) påvirker akustiske signaler, der udbredes gennem det. RIR blev først formaliseret af Manfred Schroeder i 1965 og indfanger rummets komplette akustiske karakter ved at måle systemresponsen på en impulsiv lydkilde. Den er fundamental for at karakterisere rumakustik, designe lydsystemer og modellere rumlige lydeffekter.
