Classificació global de teledetecció
La classificació global de teledetecció assigna cada píxel d'una imatge sencera o d'un conjunt de dades mundial a una classe discreta de cobertura del sòl o temàtica. Tractant l'escena de manera uniforme —en lloc d'adaptar-se a subregions locals— aquest enfocament de paret a paret sustenta productes continentals i globals de cobertura del sòl com GlobCover, FROM-GLC i ESA CCI Land Cover.
