Diferent funcionalitat d'ítem politòmic (DIF politòmic)
El funcionament diferencial d'ítem politòmic detecta si un ítem d'un test o una enquesta amb més de dues categories de resposta ordenades (p. ex., escales tipus Likert, ítems de crèdit parcial) funciona de manera diferent entre grups com ara gènere, ètnia o origen lingüístic, després de controlar el tret latent que s'està mesurant. Amplia els mètodes clàssics de DIF binari a formats de resposta ordinals.
