L'alpha de Cronbach bayesià aplica la inferència bayesiana per estimar el coeficient clàssic de consistència interna, produint una distribució posterior completa sobre alpha en lloc d'una estimació puntual única. Això permet als investigadors quantificar la incertesa amb intervals de credibilitat i incorporar coneixements previs, fent que l'avaluació de la fiabilitat sigui més informativa, especialment amb mostres petites o esbiaixades.
