Anàlisi Multivariant de Patrons
L'Anàlisi Multivariant de Patrons (MVPA, de l'anglès Multivariate Pattern Analysis) és un enfocament d'aprenentatge automàtic aplicat a la ressonància magnètica funcional (fMRI) que descodifica estats cognitius, estímuls o comportaments a partir de patrons espacials d'activitat neural a tot el cervell. Pionera per Haxby i col·laboradors el 2001, la MVPA tracta la fMRI com un problema de classificació: pot un descodificador entrenat predir què està percebent o pensant una persona basant-se exclusivament en el seu patró d'activitat cerebral?
