| Resum≠ | The AMD Quality of Life (AMD-QoL) scale is a disease-specific instrument designed to measure the impact of age-related macular degeneration on patient-reported health-related quality of life. Developed by Mitchell, Bradley, and colleagues (2005), the AMD-QoL addresses concerns unique to macular disease: central vision loss, reading difficulty, facial recognition, driving impairment, and emotional burden. It serves as a primary or secondary outcome in AMD clinical trials and informs patient-centered care decisions. | The VF-14 is a 14-item, disease-specific functional status questionnaire developed to measure visual disability from cataract and its response to cataract surgery.
