Interacció sòl-estructura
L'anàlisi d'interacció sòl-estructura (SSI) té en compte l'acoblament dinàmic entre una estructura i el sòl de fonamentació que la suporta, reconeixent que el sòl no és infinitament rígid. Formalitzat per Veletsos el 1974, aquest enfocament revela com la complaença de la fonamentació, l'amortiment per radiació i els efectes cinemàtics modifiquen la resposta sísmica de l'estructura en comparació amb les hipòtesis de base fixa.
