الصلاحية التمييزية في اختبارات التكيف الحاسوبية (CAT) هي عملية التقييم التي تؤكد أن المقياس المُدار عبر CAT يقيس البناء المقصود به بشكل مميز عن البنى ذات الصلة ولكنها مختلفة مفاهيميًا. على الرغم من أن آلية اختيار المفردات التكيفية تغير مجموعة المفردات لكل مستجيب، يجب تقديم دليل على أن الدرجات المشتقة من CAT لا تتداخل بشكل مفرط مع الدرجات من المقاييس المتميزة نظريًا.
