تحسين موعد الزراعة هو خط أنابيب لدعم القرار لتحديد مواعيد زراعة المحاصيل المثلى التي تتماشى مع التطور الفينولوجي مع نوافذ بيئية مواتية، مما يزيد الإنتاجية إلى أقصى حد ويقلل من مخاطر المناخ. تم تطوير هذه الطريقة من قبل نماذج المحاصيل (أغاروال، سيمينوف) في العقد الأول من القرن الحادي والعشرين، وتجمع بين محاكاة المحاصيل وبيانات المناخ وتحليل المخاطر لتحديد نوافذ زراعة آمنة ومربحة.
