COMOT-15
The Chronic Otitis Media Outcome Test-15 (COMOT-15) is a 15-item patient-reported outcome measure specifically designed to assess the burden and impact of chronic otitis media on health-related quality of life. Developed by Schilder and colleagues (2016), the COMOT-15 measures symptoms (ear discharge, hearing loss, ear pain), hearing function, and psychosocial effects of chronic ear disease. It is the recommended core outcome set for clinical trials and quality improvement programs evaluating chronic otitis media treatment.
