Метод Гальоркіна
Метод Гальоркіна — це варіаційний метод, заснований на проєкції, для розв'язання диференціальних рівнянь шляхом зведення нескінченновимірних задач до скінченновимірних лінійних систем. Розроблений Борисом Гальоркіним у 1915 році та незалежно Іваном Бубновим, він лежить в основі методу скінченних елементів (МСЕ) і є фундаментальним для сучасної обчислювальної інженерії.
