Kurtosis

The fourth standardized moment of a distribution, measuring the heaviness of its tails and the sharpness of its peak, computed as μ₄/σ⁴. A value of 3 corresponds to the normal distribution; values above 3 indicate heavy tails (leptokurtic) and values below 3 indicate light tails (platykurtic).
