Explorativ kvantitativ forskning
Explorativ kvantitativ forskning är en icke-experimentell design som används när ett fenomen är otillräckligt förstått för att stödja formell hypotesprövning. Forskaren samlar in numeriska data – typiskt genom enkäter, strukturerad observation eller befintliga register – för att beskriva fördelningar, upptäcka mönster och generera hypoteser som mer målinriktade bekräftande studier därefter kan testa. Den utgör det första steget i ett kumulativt kvantitativt forskningsprogram.
