SammanfattningModal analysis is a computational and experimental method for determining the natural frequencies and associated mode shapes of a mechanical structure. By decomposing structural vibration into its fundamental modes (natural oscillation patterns), engineers can predict resonance frequencies, assess dynamic response to external forces, and design structures to avoid problematic vibrations. Developed rigorously by Clough and Penzien in their foundational work on structural dynamics, modal analysis is essential for designing robust mechanical systems.Tolerance stack-up analysis is a method for predicting the cumulative effect of manufacturing tolerances on the final dimensions and fit of assembled components. When parts with individual tolerances are assembled together, their tolerances combine in complex ways, often producing a result that is worse than each part individually. Stack-up analysis ensures that the final assembly will function correctly despite individual part tolerances, or identifies where tighter tolerances are necessary.
