SammanfattningThe ERQ is a 10-item self-report measure assessing two primary emotion regulation strategies: cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression. Developed by Gross and John in 2003, it has become a foundational instrument in emotion regulation research, widely used across clinical, developmental, and social psychology. The DERS is a 36-item self-report measure assessing multidimensional emotion dysregulation across six related but distinct facets. Developed by Gratz and Roemer in 2004, it has become a cornerstone transdiagnostic measure in emotion regulation research, capturing emotional avoidance, behavioral dyscontrol, and limited coping awareness that cut across psychiatric conditions.
