SERS
Spektroskopia Raman e Përforcuar nga Sipërfaqja (SERS) amplifikon sinjalet e dobëta Raman me shumë magnitude urdhra kur molekulat analite adsorbohen në sipërfaqe nanostrukturë metalike të përgatitura posaçërisht (zakonisht argjend ose ar). E zbuluar nga Fleischmann, Hendra dhe McQuillan në vitin 1974, SERS mundëson zbulimin e nënshkrimeve vibracionale të molekulave të vetme dhe kontaminantëve ultra-gjurmë, duke revolucionarizuar kiminë analitike dhe forenzikën.
