Analiza e Pikëve Funksionale (FPA) kuantifikon madhësinë e softuerit duke numëruar funksionet e biznesit dhe interaksionet e përdoruesit, të pavarura nga teknologjia ose gjuha programuese. E prezantuar nga Albrecht (1979), FPA mat funksionalitetin e ofruar, duke mundësuar vlerësimin e përpjekjes, krahasimin e produktivitetit dhe vlerësimin e vlerës së softuerit. Organizatat përdorin FPA për kontratat e projekteve, krahasimin e shitësve dhe menaxhimin e portofolit.
