Teoria e bazuar konstruktiviste kritike kombinon teorinë e bazuar konstruktiviste të Kathy Charmaz me një lente të qartë teorike kritike — zakonisht korniza feministe, të racës kritike, ose freiriane — për të gjeneruar teori që jo vetëm shpjegon një proces social, por gjithashtu shqyrton marrëdhëniet e pushtetit, pabarazitë strukturore dhe forcat ideologjike që formësojnë përvojat e pjesëmarrësve.
