CTD profiling provides essential hydrographic data that characterizes water mass structure, stratification, and circulation patterns. | The Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) is an instrument that uses Doppler-shifted acoustic backscatter to measure water velocity profiles along a vertical profile.
