Drawing on Stake's notion of the intrinsic case and an interpretivist epistemological stance, the approach treats meaning as socially constructed and context-dependent, making rich, contextual understanding its primary output. | Interpretive multiple case study is a qualitative research design in which the researcher studies two or more bounded cases in depth, using an interpretivist stance to understand how participants construct meaning within each setting.
