Participatory Transformative Mixed Methods
Participatory transformative mixed methods is een onderzoeksdesign dat zowel een participatief actiekader als een transformatief paradigma incorporeert binnen mixed methods-onderzoek. Zowel kwantitatieve als kwalitatieve gegevens worden verzameld in actieve samenwerking met gemarginaliseerde of onderbediende gemeenschappen, met het expliciete doel bevindingen te produceren die ongelijkheid aanvechten, deelnemers machtigen en sociale verandering teweegbrengen. Donna Mertens' transformatieve paradigma en de mixed methods-traditie van Creswell en Plano Clark informeren gezamenlijk de aanpak.
