Evaluatiegerichte pragmatische mixed methods is een onderzoeksontwerp dat kwantitatieve en kwalitatieve gegevensverzameling combineert binnen een pragmatische filosofische houding, specifiek om programma's, beleid of interventies te evalueren. In plaats van zich strikt te houden aan één enkel paradigma, selecteert het methoden op basis van hun geschiktheid om evaluatievragen over programmacompetentie, uitkomsten en belanghebbendenervaringen te beantwoorden. Het ontwerp wordt breed toegepast in onderwijs, volksgezondheid, sociale diensten en evaluatiecontexten voor ontwikkelingshulp.
