Evaluatiegerichte mixed methods meta-inferentie is een rigoureus concluderend proces in programma-evaluatieonderzoek waarbij de onderzoeker inferenties, afgeleid van zowel kwantitatieve als kwalitatieve onderdelen van een mixed methods studie, integreert tot één enkele, coherente conclusie van hogere orde. Deze meta-inferentie is expliciet verankerd aan evaluatievragen – zoals programmatische waarde, verdienste of impact – en wordt beoordeeld aan de hand van dubbele kwaliteitscriteria: inferentiële consistentie en interpretatieve consistentie tussen de onderdelen.
