Response Surface Methodology met de Desirability Function Optimalisatie

Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is een verzameling statistische en wiskundige technieken voor het modelleren en optimaliseren van processen met meerdere ingangen (factoren) en uitgangen (responsen). De Desirability Function-aanpak, geïntroduceerd door Harrington (1965) en verfijnd door Derringer en Suich (1980), breidt RSM uit om multi-respons optimalisatieproblemen op te lossen door concurrerende doelstellingen te combineren tot een enkele index. Deze methodologie is essentieel in product- en procesontwikkeling waar ingenieurs prestaties, kosten en betrouwbaarheid moeten balanceren.
