Bayesiaanse Nested Case-Control Studie
Een Bayesiaanse nested case-control studie plaatst een case-control steekproefschema binnen een gedefinieerde prospectieve cohort en schat vervolgens blootstelling-uitkomstassociaties met Bayesiaanse inferentie. Cases zijn individuen in de cohort die de uitkomst van interesse ontwikkelen; controles worden getrokken uit de risicopool op het moment dat elke case wordt geïdentificeerd. Het Bayesiaanse raamwerk maakt de incorporatie van voorkennis mogelijk — uit eerdere studies, expertmeningen of biologische plausibiliteit — en produceert volledige posterieure verdelingen voor effectschattingen in plaats van puntschattingen met betrouwbaarheidsintervallen.
