Multilevel Bayesiaans Netwerk
Een multilevel Bayesiaans netwerk breidt het standaard Bayesiaanse netwerk uit naar data met een hiërarchische of gegroepeerde structuur — studenten binnen scholen, patiënten binnen ziekenhuizen, observaties binnen subjecten — door op elk niveau afzonderlijke maar gekoppelde grafische modellen te plaatsen, waarbij parameters van een hoger niveau de conditionele waarschijnlijkheidstabellen van knooppunten van een lager niveau bepalen. Het resultaat is een principieel probabilistisch raamwerk dat zowel binnen-groep relaties als tussen-groep variatie vastlegt.
