Pengukuran Ketinggian Pokok

Pengukuran ketinggian pokok—menentukan jarak menegak dari tanah ke puncak pokok—merupakan asas inventori hutan dan anggaran biojisim. Daripada instrumen optik klasik (klinometer, aras Abney) kepada hipso meter laser moden dan LiDAR udara, kuantifikasi ketinggian pokok membolehkan pengiraan isipadu, biojisim, indeks tapak (produktiviti), dan pencirian struktur hutan yang penting untuk pengurusan, penyelidikan, dan perakaunan karbon.
