Scan Sampling
Scan Sampling (juga disebut pengambilan sampel seketika) adalah metode observasi perilaku di mana seorang pengamat mencatat keadaan semua anggota kelompok secara bersamaan pada interval waktu yang teratur. Diperkenalkan bersama pengambilan sampel hewan fokus oleh Jeanne Altmann pada tahun 1974, pengambilan sampel pindaian efisien untuk mengukur anggaran aktivitas dan pola perilaku tingkat kelompok pada banyak hewan tanpa kerja keras observasi fokus.
