Model Lag Spasial Lokal memperluas model lag spasial klasik dengan memungkinkan parameter autokorelasi spasial dan koefisien regresi bervariasi di berbagai lokasi geografis. Alih-alih satu estimasi global tentang bagaimana hasil tetangga memengaruhi setiap observasi, model ini menyesuaikan parameter spesifik lokasi menggunakan estimasi lokal berbobot kernel, yang mengungkap heterogenitas spasial dalam ketergantungan spasial.
