Rooted in MIL-STD-1629A and standardised in IEC 60812:2018, it is the dominant proactive reliability and safety tool in aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries.Six Sigma DMAIC is a data-driven, five-phase process improvement methodology — Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control — used to reduce defects and process variation to fewer than 3.4 defects per million opportunities.
